Sure, this one is not much to look at, but it is great for us digital nomads who like to keep our electronics gear on us at all times. Of course, it also works well for business professionals who need to carry their computer to and from work without getting a lot of back pain like you would with a messenger bag or briefcase.
What I really like about this one is that it is very durable. And you definitely want a high quality laptop backpack since you are putting those precious electronics in there. It has some good padding too, which is very important when you have the TSA man-handling your gear and other airline passengers trying to cram their carry-on bags next to yours.
The shoulder straps on this one have some good padding as well, which is perfect for when you overload the bag and have to walk down what seems like the longest airport terminal in the world.
Of course, this pack is great for holding all your gear since it has some smaller organizer pockets and a few zippered compartments. I find that these are great for organizing my phone and other smaller electronics, as well as things like my passport and some pens and snacks for the ride.
And I really love the water bottle pockets on the sides for those times when I need to stock up on over-priced drinks before boarding a cheap airline that charges even more for drinks.
Of course, the real shining feature of this bag is how easy it is to get your laptop out for the airport security theater. Just a quick unzip and this checkpoint friendly backpack for men and women makes dealing with the TSA a little bit easier.
